Ingredients
- One package chocolate cake ready-mix (regular size)
- 1 cup (8 ounces) cream
- One package (3.9 ounces) instant fudge pudding combine
- Four giant eggs
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup milk
- Two tablespoons sauce
- Two teaspoons vanilla
- FROSTING:
- 1 pound bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- Six tablespoons Dutch-process chocolate
- Six tablespoons boiling water
- 1-1/2 cups butter softened
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
Directions
- In a giant bowl, mix the primary nine ingredients; beat on low speed for thirty seconds. Beat on medium for two minutes. Pour into two lubricated and floured 8-in — baking pans.
- Bake at 350° for 38-43 minutes or till a pick inserted within the center comes out clean. Cool for ten minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to chill utterly.
- For icing, in an exceeding microwave, soften chocolate; stir till swish. Let cool to temperature, concerning 20-30 minutes. Meanwhile, dissolve cocoa in boiling water; cool.
- In a giant bowl, beat butter and confectioners' sugar till downlike. Add thawed chocolate; beat on low speed till combined, scraping sides of the bowling pro re nata. Hammer in cocoa mixture.
